How do you leverage the digital channel to increase the presence on search engines, to raise brand awareness and to drive hotel bookings?


Melia Hotels International operates more than 350 hotels in 35 countries and 4 continents. While Melia is a well-known brand in Europe, it has relatively low brand awareness in China.

Splash is tasked to create a new booking website for Chinese consumers.  The challenges lie in developing a website that is both marketing oriented to communicate the brand attributes and functional to drive bookings.



Instead of using the Melia global template which is more suited to drive bookings, Splash developed a new website from scratch to meet the marketing and booking objective, and localized the content for Chinese consumers.

The website was also developed with SEO best practices and is seamlessly integrated with the global booking engine.
